GAME JAMS

JUMPLE

for “Creative Days”

2 days
For this year’s game jam, my colleague Kane Wright and I came together to work on JUMPLE.

It is a 2D co-op platformer in which you need to reach the end of the level by using each other as platforms.

Each level was created with one week’s worth of my wordle results :)

Each player is a yellow or green block. Green can jump on yellow and yellow on green, but you cannot jump on your own colour, which is why you might need to use the other player as a platform itself.

Turned out to be popular in the office!

transport

8 days
Whilst working at LSBU, I was tasked with organising a two week long remote Game Jam to welcome the Games Design and Development students to their second semester.

I created fake tickets to invite them to their assigned Discord servers where they would be working for two weeks.

These tickets revealed the GJ’s theme:
transportation and the destination assigned to each group.

(Unfortunately, I  did not take part in the jam myself as I had to oversee and help out the teams when needed).
The games that came out of this were:

1- Trammered
2- Zeus  Stole My Wife
5- Road De Versailles
7- Cape Town Caper
8- Journey to Aurora
9- Lost in Akureyri

isolation
game

This game was a collaboration with Massimiliano Voccia and Tobias Persson early in the pandemic.

You’re stuck in a studio flat where you’re connected to the houses around you by just a clothesline.
You can send and receive letters and household objects and place them around the house.
(Like a depressing animal crossing!)
